Digging through the internet, the best conglomerate of info I found…
KING MATHER LP or RELAPSE?
During the interview, Em put an end to rampant rumors of his forthcoming LP being titled “King Mathers.”
“There are alotta fake album titles floating out there–alot of bullshit titles. The real title of my album that’s coming out is called ‘Relapse.” Em tells Angea Yee of Shade 45.
MAY 19th is the release date for Relapse.
Followed by “Relapse 2,” which is planned for release in the second half of the year.
“A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year,” Eminem said in a news release. “I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”
“We go until it happens,”, producer Dr. Dre says about all the time he spends in the recording studio searching for hits. The highly acclaimed producer says that he had once spent as long as 79 hours in a single stretch. “When the ideas are coming, I don’t stop until the ideas stop because that train doesn’t come along all the time.”.
SO RELAPSE 2 then DETOX album – WHAT ABOUT 50? When does his album drop? BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT?
Before I Self Destruct will be the fourth studio album by rapper 50 cent, his final solo release in his current contract with Interscope Records, excluding a “greatest hits” album.
Recently, 50 Cent told MTV that he will release the album in June 2009 and a second album one month after Eminem’s second album.
SO WHAT ABOUT DRE?
“Eminem was always coming next year. But what happened was, I lost Dr. Dre to Eminem. Dre had to stop making his album to finish Eminem’s album,” explained Iovine. “Eminem hit a streak, and when a guy like Eminem gets on fire, you stop everything. That’s how we lost Dre.” says Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine
Eminem’s Relapse will be the Detroit rapper’s first solo project in four years while 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct will the G-Unit honcho’s last album on his current contract with Interscope.
Detox, which will be Dre’s first solo project in ten years, will feature appearances from Lil Wayne and Jay Z , among others.
In related news, Eminem will be returning to his roots at the end of May as he headlines the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.
THE SAME TIME AS HIS ALBUM, NO WAY!!!!
