R/D: How many FANS do you have on your FACEBOOK FAN PAGE(S)? How about the rest of the world?

Here is a great article by TechCrunch –  with information provided by Sysomos.

Sysomos analyzed 600,000 fan pages on Facebook and came up with some great info…  The vast bulk of Facebook fan pages have between 10 and 1,000 fans.  Only 4 percent have more than 10,000 fans, and less than 1/20th of a percent have more than a million fans.  It breaks down as follows:

• 95% of pages have more than 10 fans
• 65% of pages have more than 100 fans
• 23% of pages have more than 1,000 fans
• 4% of pages have more than 10,000 fans
• 0.76% of pages have more than 100,000 fans
• 0.047% of pages have more than one million fans (297 in total).

Only 23% of FaceBook FAN PAGES have more then 1000 FANS…yes 77% of FACEBOOK FAN PAGES have less then 1000 FANS. Is it worth it to make a FAN PAGE and for what?

We are close to the 1000 mark for B.YONEST FAN PAGE (click here) – it took us about 6 months to get over 750 FANS.  We have Fans from just over 20 countries.  How would that have been possible 10 years ago?

The article goes on to discuss a difference between facebook and twitter:

“And unlike on Twitter, where popularity is correlated with how many times you Tweet, Facebook fan pages tend to be updated only once every 16 days. (not us, we update daily) And that’s really the big difference between Facebook fans and Twitter followers. On Twitter, you follow someone because you want to hear what they have to say. B.YONEST NEWZ: GROWTH CURVE in SEPT is STAGGERING for THE BYONESTINVAZION.com!!!

For those of you following along at home…THE BYONESTINVAZION.com blog is gaining traction as a FULL BLOWN ENTERTAINMENT DATABASE complete with MUZIK, SPORTS, and ENTERTAINMENT NEWZ and APPERantly a lot of READERS AND VIEWERS!!!

If you remember from the growth curve update from last month, (click here) we finished August with 11,440 views for the month.  This continued us on our gradual curve.  We have been very happy with this!  We decided that 15,000 would be a great goal for September.  This equates to 500 views/hitz a day.

Well we didnt do 500 viewz a day we D.I.D. 854 views A DAY.  SO we blew past  our goal of 15,000 and ended up with 25,610 views/hitz for the month of SEPTEMBER.

LETZ BYONEST this is a bit scary – this sets the bar very high, much higher then we wanted, we would have been happy with something close to 15,000. Now in order to keep our growth curve continuing in a upward trend we have to do like 875 views a day…for the month of OCT...keep you posted…

FYI:  15,000 is a baseline number when advertisers begin looking at your site as a place that it may make sense to begin advertising.

FACEBOOK releases @MENTION feature and it’s better then TWITTER’s

Go ahead type in @ into your status update on Facebook and begin typing someones’ name (you will see what I mean) – within a few letters you will find the friend you are looking for.  As you send off your message, a notification will be sent to that person or person(s) that you mentioned (@name) telling them, they have been tagged in appropriate msg.

Why is this @ MENTION feature better then TWITTER’s?

1.  Well because it gives you all the names that have those letters associated with it AUTOMATICALLY. This helps you find your friends easily (with a drop down menu) without having to remember their profile name, like Twitter.

2.  Oh and another reason is when you look at other user’s status updates that include the use of “@” the names are clickable. They all can be clicked, which sends users to the respective person/fan pages of each.

I am definitely not TWITTER-HATIN – we use TWITTER daily for all sorts of things… communication, brand-messaging, staying in touch, finding people, ranting etc…

We have so many “Followerz” that are not FaceBook “Friends/Fanz” and so many “Friends/Fanz” on Facebook who do not have Twitter accounts.

When will Twitter and Facebook become one? Oh wait, why would they?  Twitter is the same thing as Facebook, but its only one feature of it.  Twitter is only one feature and Facebook has many including pictures, videos, links etc.  Facebook already has Twitter incorporated into it.

I heard rumors of them merging together…but why?  Twitter and Facebook both have incredible BRAND names for themselves.  Twitter serves it’s purpose and so does Facebook – what are those?  I’ll leave that up to each of you to decide for yourselves.

B.YONEST R&D: SoundCloud voted No. 2 in Tech Media Invest Top 100

Here at B.YONEST ENTERPRIZES we are always researching and staying ahead of the curve of the fast-changing and ever evolving music industry.  A few weeks ago we were turned onto Soundcloud.com

It was recently awarded the No. 2 spot on the prestigious Tech Media Invest Top 100 list

Soundcloud.com is an online audio platform that caters to music professionals.  It allows them to collaborate, promote and distribute their music online in a simple way.  You can upload your audio files and embed them on websites or share them easily among social sites (Facebook and Twitter etc).  SoundCloud has a very cool DROPBOX feature that allows other musicians to submit music to friends or other collaborators of the songs.  Another cool feature gives listeners the ability to comment on specific parts of the recording directly from the SoundCloud player.

It is currently using a “FREEmium” business model.  The service is free for 5 uploads a month along with a few other limited services.  If you want to use the paid for models in which you can do a few more features, you will pay anywhere from $12 – $70 a month.

Do YOU wake up in the morning, check your facebook stats (as they GLOBALLY rise by the minute), write a blog entry or TWELVE about celebrities (such as Lindsay Lohan, Steve McNair or YOURSELF), write a song or FOUR (with incredible production from ALL OVER THE MAP, USA), hop on twitter and notice people left you messages while you were sleeping (because you’re that fuckin amazing), read a passage from a  wonderfully written book (the title i REFUSE TO GIVE AWAY because there’s a GREAT DEAL of biters in the game…), write a few log lines, script lines, edit video, sip your coffee and check the clock ONLY to realize it’s not even NOON YET? IF NOT, you’re not G.R.I.N.D.I.N.!! I’M NOT CALLIN PEOPLE OUT.. I’M TRYIN TO IMPROVE YOUR GRIND.

Every human in the flippn’ world utilizes the phrase “grindin” IT’S ANNOYING as shit. It’s almost as bad as people walkin around screamin Michael Jackson songs off their balconies when they were saying he was a rapist, felonious and this was just eight minutes before he died. I’m JUST SAYIN… Stop sayin’ you’re GRINDIN. Every song, interview and corner store vendor claims they grindin’. SOME OF YOU FOOLS are WORKIN’… I HATE to be do blatant, but OPEN YOUR EYES, face REALITY and live in it. I appreciate EVERY PERSON who works, hustles, bustles, tussles and muscles their way win in the door. GRINDIN’ is WAAAY DIFFERENT, MAN.

Grindin is BREATHIN’ what you do. Grindin is HAVIN THE BALLS to jump off the cliff for your shit when NO ONE says you can or should. Grindin is wakin up at 5am only because you know your business partner USUALLY gets up @ 6am or so. When you get to the computer to check your emails, your business partner has already sent you four emails about Sponsorships, upcoming shows and Website updates. NOW, THAT’S GRINDIN.. Challenge ONE ANOTHER to GRIND, people.

THIS IS THE WORLD OF “Don’t talk about it.. B.(YONEST) about it.” Words definitely help in the development of an idea and the creativity of the concept, but DO IT! Again, this is only to help y’all. Always. I would much rather you NEVER tell me what you’re going to do and just do it, first. I’m still a sucker for this one because I have soo many ideas floating, I want to publish them to the world. THATS NOT GRINDIN, B.YONEST. GRINDIN is doing the research (after the concept is developed), creating a pre-production copy of the concept (people dont understand what’s in your head.. THEY NEED THE VISUAL.. I’m just SAYIN), re-fining your pre-produced project, making it PERFECT and RELEASING IT TO THE WORLD. Thus, THE B.YONEST INVAZION IS GRINDIN’.

I HOPE all of YOU take this article as a challenge step up your “GRINDS.” I work hard to keep mine and an all time high. I know when I’m asleep, SOMEONE is awake and working on something I SHOULD be working on. SO THOSE OF YOU GRINDING, stay on it because it challenges me. THOSE OF YOU, NOT GRINDING…. UHHHHHHH!!
